Zeenat Aman Hints At "Only Misunderstanding" Between Dev Anand And Her

As promised, Zeenat Aman is back with the second part of her tribute to Dev Anand on Instagram and it's a treat to read. In the note, she recalled the days working with Dev Anand and mentioned about the "misunderstanding" between her and the late actor. Along with the long note, Zeenat Aman shared a throwback picture from the sets of Ishk Ishk Ishk and called their look "incredibly stylish". She started the note with these words, "The age gap between Dev saab and myself was nearly 30 years. I had played his sister in HRHK, and he did not yet see me as a romantic lead. Instead, he cast me in the titular role of (Raakhee's sister) Panna in Heera Panna, which released in 1973. I had a blast shooting that film, and its sound track remains a favourite to this day."

Calling Dev Anand a "Dynamic mentor," Zeenat Aman continued, "Dev saab was a dynamic mentor. Our association continued, and next on the cards was Ishk Ishk Ishk. I once again found myself in Nepal, but this time we were shooting in the picturesque lake town of Pokhara!"

Recalling her days shooting for Ishk Ishk Ishk with Dev Anand in Nepal, Zeenat Aman wrote, "Those of you who have seen the film know that it features a bevy of lovely women as my sisters and friends. They were literally so, because prior to the shoot Dev saab asked if I had any "model friends" who could join the project. I put the word out, several friends answered my call, and so it was quite the party in Pokhara."

Without sharing any "gossipy details" from the sets of Ishk Ishk Ishk, Zeenat Aman added, "With a good-looking and young cast and crew, it should be no surprise that there were plenty of dalliances and heartbreaks unfolding behind the scenes. But please don't expect the gossipy details from me! Would you like the world to know about your every crush, humiliation or affair?"

"Anyway, Dev saab was on a roll. Working with him was seamless and joyful. He was a fount of creative energy, and I was delighted to have his guidance. It would have been easy for him to tie me down to a contract, but he had the grace to never even suggest it. Thus allowing me a chance to spread my wings. We also starred together in several films made by other directors such as Darling, Darling and Kalabaaz," wrote Zeenat Aman.

Talking about the first and only misunderstanding between her and Dev Anand (more on it later), she wrote, "My career was booming, fresh offers were pouring in, but alas, one of these, led to the first and only misunderstanding between Dev saab and myself..."

Zeenat Aman concluded the note with these words, (I will try to complete this story tomorrow or the day after. Meanwhile, this picture is from the set of Ishk Ishk Ishk, and if I may say so myself, it is incredibly stylish!)"

"Keyboard Warriors": Australia Great Shuts Down Arjun Tendulkar's Critics

Arjun Tendulkar has seen both ends of the spectrum in his short IPL career so far. After taking a wicket in the last over against SunRisers Hyderabad in an IPL 2023 match, Arjun conceded 48 runs in three overs against Punjab Kings. In that match he also conceded 31 runs in one over, which is the second-most costliest over by a MI bowler. Against Gujarat Titans on Tuesday, Arjun, son of Sachin Tendulkar, began on a promising note and conceded four runs in the opening over after his skipper Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first on winning the toss.

MI didn't have to wait long for their first breakthrough as Wriddhiman Saha missed an attempted pull shot to edge one to the keeper off Tendulkar in the first ball of the third over. Having taken his partner Shubman Gill's advice, Saha reviewed, but the on-field umpire's decision was retained by UltraEdge.

It was a nice comeback by Tendulkar junior, four days after being smacked for 48 runs in three overs by Punjab Kings. Growing in confidence, the 23-year-old left-arm seamer gave away just five runs.

While Arjun has been praised for his yorkers, his lack of express speed has been criticised by some. Former Australia pacer Brett Lee opened up on the criticism that he has been facing.

"You will have people criticise almost everything. If you look at Sandeep Sharma, he has been bowling at 120 kph. Arjun is bowling way faster than that. He is only 23 years of age and he has got his whole career ahead of him. My advice will be don't listen to critics," Brett Lee said in an interaction facilitated by Jio Cinema, IPL's digital broadcasters.

"Like his dad had to go through like he misses out and gets a low score, you got to back yourself. He has got some wonderful skills. He can bowl at 140 kph so as soon as he gets comfortable bowling in the team environment, gets more comfortable playing in front of the big lights and big crowd, his pace will increase. I see no issue with his pace. I know how fast he can bowl. He has got all the talent and all the right attributes. So my advice would be to keep doing what you have been doing and don't listen to those people who are trying to have a go at him because remember most people who will criticise on social media have never bowled a ball in their life. They are keyboard warriors."

Congress MP's Posters Appear On Vande Bharat Train In Kerala

Posters praising Congress MP VK Sreekandan were allegedly pasted on the Vande Bharat Express when the semi-high speed train flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday reached Shoranur Junction.

Kerala's first Vande Bharat Express connects the state capital of Thiruvananthapuram with Kasaragod, the northernmost district. It will have halts at Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Shoranur Junction, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod.

Visuals aired by television channels showed RPF personnel removing the posters of the Palakkad MP pasted on the train by some people in praise of his role in ensuring a stop at Shoranur Junction.

The incident occurred when the train reached the Shoranur station. Mr Sreekandan and his supporters were present at the railway station to welcome the train's arrival.

BJP state president K Surendran condemned the incident, alleging that it was the action of the MP's supporters.

Defacing #VandeBharatExpress in Palakkad is a nefarious activity of the @INCKerala workers. Thse criminals are the followers of the 'crowned prince'. Shame. pic.twitter.com/x4pFHGRsVA

— K Surendran (@surendranbjp) April 25, 2023

In a Facebook post, he wondered how a Member of Parliament and his followers can behave with such "a dirty mind."

Mr Sreekandan said he had not authorised anyone to paste his posters on the train and alleged that the BJP was deliberately trying to create a controversy out of it.
