Video: Passengers Flung Into Air, 2 Dead As Pickup Truck Hits Divider

A speeding pickup truck lost control and collided with a divider on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district on Tuesday. Two people died in the accident, while six others were injured.

The incident occurred on the expressway stretch in Unnao's Bangarmau area. Preliminary investigations suggest the driver dozing off resulted in the truck losing control. CCTV footage shows the truck traveling in the middle of the road before suddenly veering and hitting the divider. The impact of the collision was so severe that several passengers were seen being thrown off the vehicle.

Police isaid the driver, Murari, and a three-year-old girl, Shiksha, died on the spot. Six other injured passengers were taken to a local health center by the police. They were subsequently referred to the district hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Police have sent the two bodies for a post-mortem examination.

Pakistan Salute Sanju Samson After Heroic Knock vs WI: "Bit Of Virat Kohli"

Sanju Samson is the toast of India after taking the side into the T20 World Cup semi-finals with a superlative 97* against West Indies on Sunday. From Sunil Gavaskar to Ravi Shastri, every Indian cricket expert applauded the maturity shown by Samson in leading a challenging 196-run chase against the two-time former champions. After not making it to the playing XI in most of the group-stage matches, Samson made full use of the opportunity on offer.

Not just in India, Samson has found admirers in Pakistan too.

"You could see a bit of Virat Kohli in his batting - how he picks runs off different bowlers - and he's got power too," former Pakistan batsman Basit Ali said on his YouTube channel.

"Sanju was given a clear plan, and even during the powerplay, he was the one scoring the most. The way Sanju batted, I was making a lot of mental notes thinking, 'Man, this guy's a chase master.' We usually say that about Virat Kohli, but today, Kohli wasn't even in the match.

"What I saw in Sanju was that he was calculating exactly which bowler to target and when - when to shift gears while batting, when to go full turbo in certain areas. He did both perfectly."

The fact that Abhishek Sharma (10) and Ishan Kishan (10) could not strike big made Samson's knock even more important.

"That innings you played is worth around 97 or 125 runs. And you played that innings right when both our power hitters - who take advantage of the powerplay - Abhishek and Ishan Kishan, both left-handers, were out. After that, the way you played didn't let us feel their absence at all," Ali added.

Mohammad Hafeez, former Pakistan captain, said Samson's innings showed the importance of a team game.

"Sanju never really tried or made an effort to reach a personal milestone. He wasn't thinking, 'For me, 100 is everything.' For him, winning the game was everything," Hafeez said on Tapmad.

"If you look at teams or players who are intellectually honest, those are the ones improving. None of the other players switched their cause for their own. No one thought, 'Let me try to stand out somehow and outshine Sanju Samson.' It's about thinking as a team, not as one, two, or five individuals - as a whole team thinking for a cause. And that cause is to win the game for your country."

"At first he was aggressive. Then, maybe he got a message or decided to anchor the innings, so he changed his approach and adjusted his game. The way he played, you never saw any greed in him to get runs or reach some personal milestone - because the biggest milestone for a player is to win the match for their country."

Iran Attacked Them, Now Arab Nations Want To Join The Fight: Trump

Arab nations that were initially reluctant to join the American-backed military campaign against Iran are now pushing to take an active role, and it was Iran's "surprising" actions.

That is according to United States President Donald Trump, who told CNN on Monday that several Arab countries came under fire from Tehran and changed their position.

"We were surprised. We told them, 'We've got this,' and now they want to fight. And they're aggressively fighting. They were going to be very little involved, and now they insist on being involved," Trump told CNN.

Joint American and Israeli strikes on Iran over the weekend triggered a wide-ranging response from Tehran. Iran launched missiles and armed drones towards Tel Aviv and towards US military installations across the Middle East.

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed on the day 1 of those strikes.

Exclusive: Will Iran Get To Pick Its Leader After Khamenei? What Israeli Minister Gideon Sa'ar Said

In the days that followed, Iran directed attacks at Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Trump described Iran's decision to strike those countries as "probably the biggest surprise" of the campaign so far.

"They (Iran) shot into a hotel, they shot into an apartment house. It just made them angry. They (Arab nations) love us, but they were watching. There was no reason for them to be involved," he said.

"We're knocking the crap out of them, but the big wave is yet to come," he said. "I think it's going very well. It's very powerful. We've got the greatest military in the world, and we're using it."

Trump Says The Biggest US Strike Is Still To Come

Speaking at the White House in his first public comments since the campaign against Iran began, said that the United States is already "substantially ahead" of its original timeline, saying early projections had put the campaign at four to five weeks. He said the US has the "capability to go far longer" if needed.

Seven Nations Issue Joint Statement Condemning Iran

The United States joined six Arab countries on Monday in releasing a strongly worded joint statement that condemned Iran's missile and drone campaign across the region as reckless and unjustified.

The statement, signed by the US, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, described Iran's strikes as "indiscriminate" attacks on sovereign nations that put civilian lives at risk.

"These unjustified strikes targeted sovereign territory, endangered civilian populations, and damaged civilian infrastructure," the statement read.

The seven nations described Iran's conduct as "a dangerous escalation that violates the sovereignty of multiple states and threatens regional stability," adding that targeting civilians and countries not engaged in hostilities was "reckless and destabilising behaviour."

The statement added, "We stand united in defence of our citizens, sovereignty, and territory."

Watch: "Dukhi Mat Ho" - Rohit's Golden Advice To Samson When He Was Dropped

India wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson's journey up to the match-winning 97 against West Indies has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. Despite being India's first-choice T20I opener for more than a year, Samson found himself out of India's playing XI at the start of the tournament after Ishan Kishan's impressive form. However, now Samson has grabbed his second chance with both hands. Following his incredible knock against West Indies, a pep talk given to him by former India captain Rohit Sharma went viral on social media.

Rohit had been present at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai ahead of India's opening game of the tournament against the United States of America (USA). However, Samson did not feature in India's playing XI.

This was when Rohit walked up to Samson to offer him support.

"Kaisa hai? Dukhi mat ho bhai. It is a long tournament, kabhi bhi mauka aa sakta hai ("How are you? Don't be disheartened. It is a long tournament. The opportunity can come at any moment)," Rohit had said to Samson, as revealed in a video posted by the official Instagram account of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Rohit's words have turned out to be true. Samson was able to make a return to the team following India's defeat to South Africa. While he played a fiery cameo in India's win over Zimbabwe, he then smashed an innings against the West Indies that will go down in Indian cricket folklore.

Samson also paid tribute to Rohit and Virat Kohli after the match.

"Playing IPL for around 10 to 12 years and being with the Indian team for the last 10 years... I have not always been playing, but I was looking from the dugout, learning from greats like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. It was very important to observe, learn, and see what they were doing," Samson said after master-minding India's highest-successful run chase in T20 World Cup history.
